A right royal knees up

We headed out of town to the Cotswold village, Windrush, to celebrate the Queen’s Jublilee.

In an alternative and image-led blog post I thought I’d pick out what made the weekend the quintessentially British occasion we had all wished for…

A trip to the village shop.

Pints of Hobsons British ale

A village hall picnic (rain will NOT stop play)

… as well as a long walk in the pouring rain, visiting gardens proudly opened by local villagers and the customary shopping excursion to Burford Garden Centre – which sells so much more than plants and garden accessories…

What a wonderful celebration of British eccentricity. God Save The Queen.
